We use Royal Mail or DHL for all our postage requirements.
Please note we do not pay compensation for late delivery on next day service.
New P&P Cost UK & International From July 2020
£6 Royal Mail upto 10kg (Recorded Delivery 2-5 days) from postal Date
£10 DHL Next Day Delivery upto 10kg (from pick up schedule)
We will on request use Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm
£11 up to 1kg
£16 over 1kg to 2kg
£31 over 2kg to 10kg
Any VAT deductions will incur a £10 Admin charge
This must be placed online and if you do not tick the deduct box the VAT will not be deducted and you cannot try to request this after the order has been process.
£22 DHL upto 1kg insured to £300
£34 DHL Insured to £800
Over 1kg we will discuss the weight & insured value on a per order valuation
Please Note Certain Area’s that are remote (outback) and Canada have another charge applied of £20 this is because DHL sometimes have to drive for hours just to deliver your parcel.
New Zealand we will not Ship over £500 of Value in 1 Parcel this is due to the 2019 ruling which forces the shipping company (Olivia’s Trains) to collect NZ import taxes
Again we will use Royal Mail on request to certain countries
Europe for example is £15 upto 1kg
Rest of the World is £25 up to 1kg but bear in mind Royal Mail use 3rd party couriers once outside the UK & tracking is virtually impossible once it has left the UK and sometimes spends weeks in custom control
DHL on the other hand takes a couple of days from leaving our shop to arriving at the customers destination
Example parcel left our shop to Japan on a Friday Teatime, by 9am on Monday we got the email from DHL stating it had been delivered to our customer
Recorded Delivery with Royal Mail:
£2 – Small & £3 Large Letters
£6 – Recorded Delivery up to 10Kg.
Recorded Delivery Takes approximately 2-5 working days from notification from our dispatch department. But during Covid 19 this is extending to 2 weeks
A signature is required upon receipt. During Covid 19 this is not been requested but the postie will make a note it has been delivered
Please note if you have ordered work to be done to your Models the work needs to go through our workshops and you will only be notified of dispatch once it has been tested by our Production Manager that every thing is working and checked. This then goes to our dispatch area & normally posted that same day. Our dispatch department then sends you a confirmation email with tracking details of the parcel & a link in the email to track the parcel.
If you use this link all it will state it has been accepted at the Post Office on that date.
No other update is normally shown on this website unless they attempt to delivery it. Normally they would leave you a card stating so but we have occasions where customers state they have not had a card left. If this is the case then reading Royal Mails Web Site will indicate it has been attempted to be delivered. You then have the choice to request it be re delivered or you can go along to the sorting office with proof of your identity and collect it yourself. Please take the card with you.
After your parcel have been packaged we input some of your information into the DHL system this is your address details with your mobile number or email address if you prefer to have a email. You then will get a series of text or email messages from DHL informing you of your parcels progress. This company comes with a great reputation and handles your parcel all themselves throughout it journey especially internationally and not 3rd parties,we have found during our trials with them that UK is next day delivery and International within 4 days.
We deduct UK VAT for countries outside the EU Zones and any tax charges you will need to pay you will be requested to pay prior to delivery with DHL.
